Introduction: Hawkinson Events is a Month-of coordination service specializing in the production of affordable weddings in the Fox Valley Area. Our mission is to streamline the day, so you and your new spouse can focus on the monumental occasion. The service I provide is for the couple who have planned the structure of the wedding, though need the added insight from a wedding professional. From timeline pacing to etiquette, I provide a fresh and young take on the modern wedding experience. I absolutely love- LOVE- the pomp and circumstance of weddings. Just adore it. The love in the vows. The tears of happiness. The first kiss. Just being a witness to one of the most important days in a life, ugh….Forgive me if I cry! I became a coordinator…Well, because I am good at organizing events. I like stressing over details. I love daydreaming about logistics. I want to put your mind at ease so you and your new spouse can be fully present on such a special day. My services are for the Bride and Groom who have planned and designed their Wedding day, but need a point person to execute their vision. I will take care of it all so that you, your family, and friends can relax and enjoy!

If you have a wedding coming up and want to enjoy every second of it with your family and friends you need to hire Hayley. I don't even know where to start. Leading up to the wedding she was available whenever we needed her. She always responded to emails quickly. She reached out to all of our vendors and set up timelines with them. If any problems came up she kept us in the loop and handled them. Day of the wedding she was even more amazing. We didn't have to worry about a thing. We were able to enjoy every second. Hayley took so much stress and work off of our shoulders we don't know what we would have done without her. So like I said before, if you have a wedding coming up don't even think twice. Hiring Hayley will be the best decision you make.

My husband and I hired Hayley from Hawkinson Events to coordinate our May 28, 2017 wedding at Untitled Supper Club in Chicago, IL. From my initial consultation phone call with Hayley, I knew she was our coordinator. Hayley is on her game. She is organized, professional, warm, friendly, funny, calm, detail-oriented, and loves weddings. (Spoiler Alert, that's EVERYTHING you want in a wedding coordinator). We met with Hayley a few times before our wedding (she was always willing to meet halfway or locally for us) and had many phone calls, texts, and emails throughout the planning process. She really lead us in to the final stretch with ease. I had no fears about handing off my hard work to Hayley that final month. She communicated in a clear and professional way with our vendors and family members/wedding party and helped make sure we weren't forgetting anything. She calmed my wedding planning anxieties (will the black table cloths be too dark?!) and shared in all of our excitement. On our big day, she set up the decor flawlessly while fully executing our vision, made sure the day of timeline she helped create went on as planned, and kept any issues at bay. Throughout our wedding day, my husband and I were thrilled of course to be married, but the one thing we kept saying to each other was "This is perfect. Everything today is absolutely perfect." - and we owe Hayley for that. At the end of the process, Hayley feels more like a good friend than a wedding vendor. I would highly recommend Hayley and Hawkinson Events for your month-of wedding coordination needs. You want this girl on your team.

If you're like me and you base buying goods and services heavily on customer reviews but don't have time to read my full review just know you should hire Hayley NOW! Just do it! She was amazing from our very first call to the last second of our wedding night (which was a late night). We hired Hayley as our day of coordinator and I was very nervous at to hand everything over to another person and trust they would execute my vision but Hayley NAILED IT! On top of her lightning fast response time to any and all of my questions, she has such a great eye for style which, trust me you will want from someone who is setting up your decor and has to make on the spot decisions if things can't be set up exactly how you pictured them. There were things I forgot to tell her about the timeline and decor that she just did intuitively and I was beyond thrilled with the final product. Hayley will go above and beyond to make sure things go exactly how you want them. One of our desserts were my favorite frozen custards driven in from St. Louis to Chicago, once they arrived, we realized the black ice they were stored in wouldn't keep them frozen until the wedding the next day and there was no freezer at the venue. So Hayley worked her magic and ended up driving the custard all the way to her parent's home to deep freeze them, picked them up the next morning and drove them back to the venue! Everyone in my family and wedding party are still talking about how amazing she is and how well she executed the entire wedding - we were so grateful for her because I'm sure there were a million other problems she fixed but shielded me from on our big day. She even stayed late after everyone had gone on to the after party to take down my decor which included some hard to remove mirror decals. Book Hayley now before her calendar fills up - she is an absolute JOY to work with and definitely the person you want on your side for one of the most important days of your life!

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    After an Initial Consultation and booking, we will have two Pre-Event Planning meetings together, a Venue visit, and the Ceremony Rehearsal. I will be available via phone and email for any questions or issues that arise beginning on the date of booking.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    For 6 years, I’ve worked as an RN, taking care of people in their best of times, and their worst. After planning my high school 10-year-reunion, planning my own wedding, and coordinating my sister-in-law’s wedding on-the-fly, I realized my strength in event planning and coordination.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Shop around and meet with everyone! Vendors may look great on paper, but if you do not have chemistry with them, it may make working together difficult.
