Introduction: We stand out for a number of reasons. (1) We do an extremely thorough assessment of every dog. We ask people to have their dog here at 7am on the day of the assessment and they are here for a day of day care and being assessed on that day, so they are here until at least 2:30pm. During that time, we look at how does the dog do with new people, how does the dog do with strange objects, how does the dog do with general handling, how does the dog do with toys and treats with people and with other dogs. Once that portion is done, we introduce the new dog slowly to other dogs. We first do an introduction through fencing - allowing them to sniff one another safely. Then we introduce on leash and lastly off leash, but only if the introductions through the fence and on-leash have gone well. We assess how each dog does with a variety of transitions, such as going through doorways, different gates, being kenneled or crated and going from our outside to inside. I love helping people with their dogs and helping the dogs become better canine citizens.
