- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Music lessons are charged on a pay as you go basis with options to prepay for discounted rates based on the length of enrollment purchased in advance. Customers can purchase a single lesson to experience before committing to extended periods of enrollment for discounted rates. Rates range from $50 a lesson to as low as $30 a lesson with qualifying enrollment and current promotional sales running at the time. single lessons to experience before committing to extended periods of enrollment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
To get started customers can register for a phone conference to discuss musical goals, availability, and enrollment options before purchase. No payment is required to register. Availability is provided in order of registration. After discussing the details payment will book requested time slots and guarantee availability. No time slots are guaranteed until payment has been made.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Though the music teachers at McMusic Lessons are primarily classically-trained, as students of theory and composition, we study, write, perform, and teach in a variety of styles and genre. The music director, Kevin McClain has been playing rock, alternative, funk, jazz, improvisation, and formally studied music all throughout grade school, high school, and college. He received his associate's degree from Moraine Valley Community College where he studied Theory I - IV, classical piano, classical guitar, and played guitar in the Moraine Valley Jazz Band. He was recommended to the guitar and composition programs at DePaul University School of Music in Chicago, Illinois. His degree was left unfinished after moving to Fort Bragg North Carolina in support of his Wife and Her commitment to the United States military. He spent time teaching on base and began conducting online music lessons to maintain students in various locations.
