About
I am a hands on owner, all work is done by me ,I don't subcontract any of the work I do.
I still enjoy what I do, I like working for myself. No job is the same, it's nice working in different places and for different people. Working as a contractor allows me to have a different boss every job and that is very rare.

I reached out to Mike because I was selling a house where there was a deep stain in the wood floor, so it needed to be torn-out and replaced/repaired. He recommended patching the bad floorboards and covering with LVP. I found this solution acceptable, and he was set to proceed. I have undergone financial hardship in part because of the events that led me to sell this home, so I asked if he offered financing, for which I would repay after the job was done and he refused. He would only accept the job if money was paid upfront. While I was upset by this, I was running out of options, so I went ahead with Mike. He performed well with regards to quality, he did not exceed the price he offered, and he finished the job at least 1 day earlier than expected.
If I have cash on hand, I would hire him again.

I hired Mike to refinish hardwood floor from the 50's that had been covered by carpet for over 30 years. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule because I needed it done quickly. He did an amazing job and the floors look great.
Mike was very responsive and didn't try to upsell me with stain. He said the floors were in great shape and shouldn't need it. I appreciated the honesty and that is why I chose him over other companies and I'm glad I did.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Price varies on type of flooring you chose.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually I would come out and give an exact estimate for the work that you are interested in having done. Talk to you about what you are looking to have done. Whether it's a repair, sanding and refinishing or a new floor, no job is to small
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the hardwood flooring business all my life, union trained, promoted to foreman before venturing out on my own. Had a wholesale distribution business that I lost in 2011 due to the economy. Now I'm contracting again
