I am so upset, I hope someone who’s thinking of using Hilltop Kennel in Illinois for obedience training or really even boarding will heed my advice. I brought a timid, hard to train Cavalier King Charles/shitzu mix pup to Hilltop, hoping Vance Krug could fix some of my pups anxiety w/ people & other dogs, barking & waking me at 5:00am. “Finn” was w/ him for 6 weeks. I was promised videos of his progress weekly. What I got were 6-10 second videos of Finn running or doing commands Id already taught him. What I brought home was a severely traumatized pup who shook like a leaf when put w/ other dogs, still having accidents in the house w/ matting that will have to be shave, smelling like dog feces. I brought home w/o his favorite toys, a different blanket, no dog bed, & a different leash. Please heed this warning… I don’t know where the positive reviews came from but that has not been my experience. I’m taking Finn to the humane society to see the condition he came home in & reporting this company to the BBB & Humane Society of IL.
