Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Johannes Bus Service, Inc. is a family owned and operated school bus transportation and charter business....we have 47 years of experience and that in itself is what makes us stand out against our competition. But, the details of how we run our business and treat our customers really separate us; from how we detail our buses and keep our fleet in tip top shape for our customers or just treating our customers and employees like they were our family. We transport for many weddings all year long and for every bride that I have a chance to talk to; I treat her like I would treat my own sister. I get every bit excited over her wedding plans and events as I did when my own sister was planning her wedding and using our transportation for her special day. All of those details make us stand out! Old fashioned family service! As the Marketing Guru, in our family business, my favorite part of the job is being able to talk to people in the community about our business. I find myself listening to ways I can better improve upon what we do and how we can better impact the community through transportation and through community service. Getting to speak to customers in person about their experiences with our company and how we can help them in other ways if among my favorite things. Of course, the creative side of marketing is pretty great too, so I spend a lot of time in front of a computer reading and researching, but I am not a lover of computers at times......they can be a tad slow and can't keep up with what I want to do! Darn technology! ha! But, seriously in a family transportation business, you really learn to do a little of everything. I have been known to fuel a bus or clean windows, and even paint the interior of our offices! Family business is pretty great!

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Consumer Advice: 1. Make sure the transportation company you are using has proper insurance and licensing with the DOT and has a good safety rating. 2. Make sure all drivers have a CDL with proper endorsements. 3. Double check that there is back up equipment in case of breakdown. Most larger companies have plans in place for such an occasion. But, smaller companies may not have any type of vehicle available in case there is a problem. And if you have been in business for awhile, you have made contacts with other companies in case you need out of town assistance. 4. Read over the fine print on contracts and make sure you understand that there are no hidden fees attached after your trip. Deposits and/or pre payments are completely acceptable.....tipping the driver with our company is always up to the customer, we never require tipping, but other companies do. Also, we aware of fuel charges and additional fees. Currently, we do not participate in those practices.
