FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe in honest, transparent pricing with no high-pressure sales tactics. Every chimney and fireplace system is different, so we provide a thorough inspection before making any recommendations. Our estimates clearly outline the scope of work, allowing you to understand exactly what is being recommended and why. We work hard to offer fair, competitive pricing while using quality materials and proven repair methods. If there are multiple repair options available, we'll explain each one so you can choose the solution that best fits your home's needs and your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process begins by listening to the customer's concerns and learning about the issues they've noticed with their chimney or fireplace. We then perform a thorough inspection to evaluate the condition of the system and identify any maintenance, repair, or safety concerns. After the inspection, we review our findings with the customer, using photos to clearly explain what we found and why any recommendations are being made. We answer any questions and provide a detailed written estimate with repair options when appropriate, allowing the customer to make an informed decision without pressure. Once the work is approved, we schedule the service at a convenient time, complete the job with quality workmanship, and leave the work area clean and tidy. Before we leave, we review the completed work and will provide you with finished photos to your email.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Continuing education is a priority for me because the chimney and fireplace industry is always evolving. Over the course of my career, I have attended 13 Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) conventions to stay current on industry best practices, new products, and changing safety standards. I have also completed HeatShield training to expand my knowledge of chimney restoration systems.
