FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We usually require a 50% deposit before the fabrication starts. The remaining balance is due after the installation. We accept checks, cash, Zelle transfers and credit/debit cards (up to 5% fee applies)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Even though metal fabrication is hard, the process of the quotation is much easier! All we need in order to provide you with a quote is a design that you want to have installed, some pictures of areas of installation and, in case you have a long run, approximate dimensions. After we send you the price with our lead time, we will be awaiting your confirmation. After you give us a green light, we will schedule the measurement visit and prepare the Contractual Agreement. We will take all the necessary measurements and discuss all the small details with you. Soon after that, we will send you the drawings for approval, so you can make sure that you will get what you are paying for. Only after you approve the drawings, the fabrication will start. Before painting, we might need to see how the railings fit and fix all issues if any will arise. Right after we paint the railings, we will contact you with the installation date and time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We formed Best Chicago Railings having over 10 years of experience in the fabrication of custom metal products.
