Tamara cooked for 17 people last night for my 50th bday party; she did a wonderful job and everything was Delicious!! She was very responsive through the whole process - answered all messages very quickly and provided as many menu options as I requested (and there were a lot) It was so nice to get out of the kitchen and enjoy my friends for a change. Tamara was great! She came to my house with everything she needed and was very professional. She made sure that my guests and I were getting top notch service. We were able to pick out our menu prior, which I loved. The food was delicious (especially the grab cakes)! We loved everything about the experience we had with her and we ended the night with a spotless kitchen. This was my first experience with a personal chef and was very pleased with how stress free it was. Tamara gave me menu ideas and was very accommodating. She was punctual and arrived on time with all her supplies in hand. She cleaned up the kitchen and left it the way it started off. I did not have to lift a finger. Food was very tasty. My guests and I enjoyed the shrimp ceviche the most!! Just wish scallops were grilled longer. Also, the rice in the paella could have been cooked longer. Tamara kept the kitchen clean during prep/cooking. She was very nice and professional.Apr 1, 2017Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work?I have always loved to cook and honed my cooking skills and techniques by practicing and trying new ingredients and recipes. I was a co-owner of a pizzeria in Texas but my passion was teaching my employees cooking skills and recipes, along with catering. My passion continued to grow and I enrolled in the United Stated Personal Chef Association program and successfully graduated in 2006. I have been teaching cooking classes since 2007 to children, teens, and adults and continuing with my daily personal chef and in-home catering.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Please, share what your budget is and be honest about it. I want to be able to provide the best quality of food and service to my clients.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?My number one important concerns is food sanitation and safety. I always clean the kitchen I am working in before I start cooking. My kitchen at home is spotless.
