Kari was amazing at our neighborhood event. The kids loved her designs and was so accommodating. She had a line of kids when her time was up and she was willing to stay an extra hour (we did pay for extra hour). She was absolutely great to work with. We plan to have her back next year for sure.

As a childish adult I had Kari paint my face and I loved it. I would absolutely have her do it again. She's great with children and also willing to paint adults as well. She really cares about her art and the final result for each person. She does great work and offers a lot of cool things that kids will love. She is extremely talented at what she does and I highly recommend her for parties or even just to make dull events more fun !

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My pricing is very straight forward: $60/hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I ask them what type of event and how large it will be. I ask how many hours they will need my services for. If not immediately evident, I ask if the event will be indoors or outdoors, so I can prepare for things like wind, access to water for my paints, and whether or not I will need to bring my own table/chairs. I ask if there is anything special I should know about the guests, location, or parking at the event. At that point I will ask for a contact phone number and ensure we are clear on the final price. I ask if they would like an invoice or any other documentation. If there are no further questions, I'll conclude the call with thanking them for their business and "I'll see you on the 5th!" or similar. :)

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was inspired to pursue face painting when a friend asked me to try it as a volunteer at an event she was hosting. I had never done something like that before, and was so suprised when a mother approached me about working for a children's 5k at the YMCA. She asked how much I charged, and I had to confess that this was my first time face painting. It was very encouraging! I continued to work at events and practice on my friend's children, and found it to be very enjoyable.
