- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard fees: -$75 estimate fee. Fee waived if awarded the work estimated. -$75/hr hourly rate for all work -20% charge on cost of materials acquired for job -$150 fee for any permits required Discounts: -10% off any future work for referrals, 10% off per referral! (Disclaimer: Discounts only count towards the hourly rate, all material needed will still be full price.) NOTES: -Unless explicitly stated all jobs are T&M (Time and Material), therefore all initial pricing given is our best estimate of the final cost. It is not a quote. -We will inform you of anything we find that requires attention that would significantly affect the estimated price. Being licensed, we are held to a higher standard than handymen. We are legally required to fix code violations we find in the course of our work. Say your house or business catches on fire from an electrical fault, we would be liable as the last electricians to work in it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I am a firm believer in that we are both working towards solving the same problem as a team, you as the customer and I as the contractor. With that, I will likely ask questions about your project, your home, how long you've lived there and what, if anything, you've had done so far as renovations or electric work. I'll give you an estimate, and if you agree to move forward, I'll give you a proposal that covers the scope of my work that I will need you to sign and agree to. After that, work starts, and we get what you need done!
