What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are trained and certified by the only governing body for the restoration industry, the IICRC. We also monitor the EPA guidelines for any changes to their standards. Every year, we re-train and update all staff to the correct standards so that we my remain above and beyond our competition.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mother experienced a kitchen fire that devastated the family. I saw how great the company handled making sure we were comfortable with the process and fixing the problem. I am inspired by helping families put things back together.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure to verify that the company is IICRC certified. In addition, it is vital that a mold removal company does not post-test their own work. Always use a 3rd party to verify results. Every technician should carry a green IICRC card with them at all times.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Restoration is a very detailed and tedious task that takes patience. It is vital that steps are taken in the proper order to ensure a perfect result at the end of the day.
