I cannot speak for their actual work as the work we were promised was not delivered and the communication kind of fell off, was disappointed we didn’t get the product that we needed and now we are set back to find someone else. Communication in the beginning was good and seems like a good fit, but again disappointed that this fell through at the last minute.

I’m sorry Alexander I apologize that your experience was unpleasant. I do not use thumbtack as a social networking or a communications site I use it for advertising and leads you had my phone number I left you a voicemail you had my card that had my email address and my phone number along with my website address And Facebook account I could never get you to contact me on any of those. Which seem kind of strange to me usually the type of customer base I deal with they pick up the phone and call me before we schedule there projects. You explained me through thumbtackAnd I apologize if that’s where the confusion started but that you had a project with Notching out some four by fours building a sign posts and setting it in the ground looked a sign post in the neighborhood I didn’t find out until the day of that there was no project you just wanted somebody to pick up the material and bring them out to you that was over an hour away. We are not a material delivery service we are a general contracting company. I waited to hear from you via phone call so that we can get on the same page I never heard anything from you. If there’s something that I can do to rectify or help and assist you in anyway you have my phone number do you have my email you have my Facebook and website addresses. If I’m not advertising or looking for leads and my schedule is booked out two months in advance I might not see a text message on thumbtack Because I might have my services turned off at that moment.so the best advice that I can give you and maybe I’m just being a little old fashion to pick up dial my phone number and you can reach me at anytime.But we are a general contracting service so if you have a project that you would like to get put on the schedule and not materials delivered...I’d be happy to help. I apologize for any inconvenience or miscommunication on our part

I had some built in customized bookshelves put in my house by Chris. He was not only extremely quick to respond to me, but really listened to what I wanted, and was with me through it the whole way. He was professional and truly captured what I was looking for. He arrived on time daily, and I expected it would take more time, but he was right on the money with all aspects. My house was covered and cleaned each day, which was just so nice for them to do.Couldn’t be happier with the quality and the work. On-site estimate $65 -10% off if you were referred by a previous customer -10% off your next project if you leave a thumbtack review about your experience with Carriage Howard Carpentry and Design
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We recommend the on-site estimate that way we can get you the best price possible. Once price and design is agreed-upon third will be required upfront to cover material operating cost before putting you on schedule. Any jobs over $5000 require half the more labor-intensive the larger the operating cost overhead and travel expenses.A reasonable timeframe will be agreed-upon once project is completed you will sign the COC(certificate of completion) saying that you’re happy and satisfied with the quality of work performed by carriage house according to the agreed-upon contract at the time we would required the balance of the project. We provide 12 month guarantee all our work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background is in the structural design. I have a CAD certification And I have won awards for a design and fabrication for in both residential and commercial fields of building and construction. Trained in OSHA job site safety. General contractors license and insured.
