- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I bought my first camera on January 12, 2012 - a historic day in Chinese history. Beijingers call it "The Airpocalypse." The air quality index used to be reported on a scale of 0-500. On that day it hit 772. I couldn't see across the street. And at that point I wanted to start recording my experiences in China. I started a website and was quickly recruited by several papers for contract work. And that's how my photography business began.
