my reef tank had been crashing on and off for three months and i couldn't figure out why. tried everything i read online, changed equipment, lost a bunch of coral. finally called people who actually does saltwater aquarium maintenance professionally and within one visit they pinpointed the problem, something in my sump setup that had been off from day one. tank has been stable for four months now. should've called them six months earlier.
