FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have set pricing structures for various types of sessions. For example, I have various packages for wedding photography depending on the services and number of hours requested. I also have set pricing for family sessions, senior portraits, newborn photography, etc. Please contact me directly if you would like to view pricing for other photography services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After learning about the type of photography session a client is looking for, I always send a questionnaire. I want to hear from you not only about your preferences of location, style, setting, etc., but also about the personalities of everyone who will be photographed. It will help me prepare for the session as well as get to know you. Once the client and I agree on a session type, time, and location, I email them the "paperwork." I send a quote which outlines the time, date, location, and terms of the photo session. I also then ask the client to sign a model release which then allows me to use their images in my portfolio and on my website, etc. Both the quote and release can be accepted/signed electronically. Finally, I send them an invoice for the session. I require a deposit upfront to secure the date and time, and then the balance is due by the date of the session. Clients easily pay the deposit online and is processed by Paypal. This whole process is very simple and user-friendly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took photography classes at my local community college to establish a strong basis in the technical side of photography. I am involved in several online communities for professional photographers. One of these groups provides online training as well as online mentorship. I attend an annual photography conference in Denver with colleagues to network with my peers as well as discuss hot topics, practice technique, and learn about new software and technologies. I am also constantly learning new techniques through Creative Live classes.
