FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My usual price range is $300-$400 per month. My philosophy is that you are my client, and we work together as much as needed and in the form that works for you. I do not charge by the hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll meet together by phone or in person for a free "sample" session. There I will take you through some coaching so you can experience it, get to know you and the situation that brought you to coaching, and you can ask any questions about me and my work. At the beginning of our relationship we will probably have some longer sessions so I can take you through some exercises to develop some tools and structure that is helpful as we do the regular coaching.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified and trained by The Coaches Training Institute (CTI). An international company that is the largest and oldest in-person coach training organization in the world. They literally "wrote the book" that is used in most other coach training programs! I completed all of their in-person training and the 6-month international virtual training, so my skills are well developed. In addition, I voluntarily assisted in their training of other coaches, an additional 300 hours of training! Half of my workload is supporting other coaches who are learning how to coach. This started spontaneously by people searching me out. They come to me because my skill set is well developed, I'm compassionate, and I can break it down for their needs. I believe passionately that you should only put your life in the hands of a highly trained, certified coach. OK enough of that. My life-long interests in examining how to instill positive habits, using mindfulness and other means to manage stress, understanding and managing our inner critic, uncovering our natural creativity and releasing it into our lives, understanding inherent feminine qualities that can be valued and recognized in our lives and work--all of these passions inform the coaching of my clients. My goal is to help you uncover how you can bring forth your best self and live your best life. We figure out together how to design that. That's why my company is called "Design Your Best Life." I study the recent advances in neuroscience to better understand which techniques work and why, and to explain that to you so you can harness them. There is tremendous power there!
