FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It is very important in our industry to stay up to date with the latest equipment, design trends, and also with the software we use. We are constantly updating our computer systems with the latest software so we can offer our clients the best product possible. This means we need to be proficient in our use of the new software. So our designers make excellent use of their down time by regularly completing online tutorials which keep them up to date on all the latest software, tips, tricks and trends. We also attend area workshops when possible and subscribe to several trade journals and blogs.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Print design is our specialty and we excel in efficiently designing brochures, booklets, handbooks and catalogs. The beauty of print design is that it is all done digitally and can be easily formatted for email distribution or downloadable files for websites. We also have one of the area's best logo designers on staff, so start up packages for new businesses is one of our favorite things to create. A typical start up package includes a logo, business card and brochure design, and can also include a letterhead and envelope design as well.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. Talk to the designer face to face if possible to make sure your personalities mesh. Check out the designer's website. Call their clients directly and ask about their experience with the designer. When you talk to the designer ask to see actual samples. Find out ahead of time what their pricing and payment policies are.
