FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is on a per-project basis and depends on the degree of difficulty involved. In general, medical editing starts at $25/hour.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It happened naturally--I always had some intuition for English, grammar, and the language of medicine, but without the pro background. I got my foot in the door at the Radiological Society of North America, and they put me through "boot camp" and trained me as a manuscript editor, managing highly technical documents written by a multinational author base. The rest is history!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I'm a jack of all trades: I proofread, edit, write, and even design a bit; some jobs are move involved than others. Past clients include Takeda Pharmaceuticals, the Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show, Pentera, Family Tree Counseling, the Radiological Society of North America, and Hunters Pointe Farm.
