The overall experience was great and a bit surreal for me. I've never been in a studio atmosphere and was nervous and excited at the same time. Very professional, yet relaxed environment. Robert had great feedback and advice for me to help me along the process. I learned a lot about recording that I would have never got on my own. To take a song from conception to finality is an amazing journey that does take hard work and dedication. However, Robert appreciates the art and takes these tasks very seriously. I feel that we worked together to construct my first recording and he didn't dictate every step. He let me make decisions all along the way. The most important things for me going in were: 1) to make a clear recording of a song. 2) to stay true to the song and maintain the integrity of the song. 3) to keep the recording process simple so that I would not become frustrated. These 3 goals were met and I now have a fully produced song that otherwise may never have happened. The only criticism I would give is on my part. Having ideas of what sound you want and the overall construction of the song fully produced prior to recording is helpful. Of course, the more times you do it, the better and more efficient you'll be the next time you step into a studio setting. And once you do hear a professional recording done right, you can't wait for the next opportunity to create again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge per project on a song by song basis. This saves the artist money and assures good work. I generally offer two revisions for mixing and two for masters.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first like to here some demos if applicable and talk with the artist/s about their vision. From there we discuss what direction to take.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a musician for 20+ years and have been recording, mixing, and mastering my own releases, as well as others, for 15 years as well.
