About
Scott Starkey's shows are full of family fun and comedy, whether on stage, a parlor setting, or closeup.
I performed for several years as an improv comedian, and I bring that energy to every performance.
Scott's shows are highly interactive and fun!
Magic is one of the few theatrical art forms that the performer routinely breaks the fourth wall by speaking directly to the audience.
Interacting with the audience is the best part of magic for me.

Preformed at our company Christmas Party. Was enjoyed by all. He did up close magic with people during our happy hour then gave a 1/2 hour show after dinner. I would recommend Scott for your event.

Scott performed for what I thought was going to be a small group for memory care residents but turned out to be a large group! Scott did a wonderful job connecting with the audience and bringing them into the show. They were amazed and continued to talk about the show throughout the day! We have already booked him to come back again!

Great interaction with group. They are still shaking their heads about some amazing acts. One lady that participated called me this morning about 'how he did that". Good show!!!

His show is very interactive which kept the kids' interest. He did a lot of mind-reading acts which was neat, but I think some of the younger kids lost interest part-way through. Most of the acts were interesting and left us in wonder like a good magic show does :) The best part - he's willing to work with you on pricing. That's sometimes hard to find and can be a deal-breaker. Instead of doing a personal show, he performed at our local theater and worked out a way for him AND the theater to make money, which was really great!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Ordering a magician service is not like buying a pair of shoes! :-) There are many of variables that go into a pricing decision... How many people will be in the audience? What are their ages? What is the venue? Is the contracting party a family or a corporate body? How long do you need entertainment? Do you need a stand-up (parlor or stage) show with the audience sitting down? Do you need strolling table magic? Perhaps you'd like a man-of-mystery at a cocktail hour? Each event is it's own special thing, and I will craft a personal (and unforgettable) experience for you and your event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Call me old-fashioned, but I like to talk to customers on the phone, to know that I'm talking to a real human being. I'll give you my personal cell phone number and email address to work out any last-minute issues.
Also, please note that I generally like to show up at the venue 30-60 minutes early for most events, but will work with you on your personal needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I performed for a few years in an improvisational comedy troop, and performed theatre in college. Currently, I attend several magic lectures per year, for professional development.
