Introduction: I have been working with hardwood for over 30 years and the difference is in the details of finishing floors. If your floor looks good to your visitors I don't need to spend money on marketing because word of mouth is the greatest marketing tool. Making sure that the floor is more than what the customer is expecting. I usually have an ideal of what the end result will be but when the customer actually sees the floor when its completed. I love to see their reaction because the look on their face is one of those Kodak moments that you cannot fake. You cannot buy advertising like word of mouth. When I leave their house I know in my heart that the customer is happy and they may call me back for future work.

    If you hire an installer you should look at the floor being installed if it looks cupped or not straight stop laying the floor! Remember this old adage, a straight start is a straight finish.

    That hardwood flooring has changed so much over the decades that it is much easier to maintain with new finishes and more of a selection of different types of wood flooring (exotic and common types).
