Introduction: I take an odd approach to teaching. Instead of learning traditional chords i like to teach bar chords and soloing/scales first. I feel like it creates better dexterity with the fingers. By doing this you can learb songs faster and make it a simplified more enjoyable approach. Trying to teach the traditional way of learning major, minor, diminished chords etc can be frustrating for beginners and not as excoting because they arent learning a song but just practing chords. Lets be honest you picked a guitar up to play songs not atrum the same chord.... I enjoy the excitement my clients get when they leanr a new song. I get the same feeling when i learn something new so its great to help seomeone feel the same!
