FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge more if the horse is unusually dangerous. Most of the time the charge is $30 per hour.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I got into horse training as a teenager working as a "training" rider for a horse trader. The horse trader was ignorant of horsemanship and all about punishing the horse into submission. I was getting bucked off of the horses a lot and I figured out that I needed to learn a better way or I would be seriously injured or killed. I began a lifelong study of horses, horsemanship and behaviorial science that has kept me, my clients and the horses safe for over forty years.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Making dangerous horse and rider situations safe.
