I am now using Coffman Consulting for the third time, which speaks to how valuable Kate’s guidance has been to our family. Her experience and expertise have made the college application process so much smoother and less stressful than it otherwise would have been.
Kate starts early and keeps students on track, breaking the process into manageable steps so it never feels overwhelming. Kate would always respond in a timely manner to any questions I had about college essays. I was really tired of nagging my daughters to work on things related to getting ready to apply for college, and then came Kate to the rescue. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $150 an hour but have packages for multi-hour (5 hours for $500) or up to 10 applications or can craft a package that meets your needs
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the student and parent to understand where they are in the process, what are their goals, and where they will need the most support and guidance. Then I work one on one with the student virtually to help them explore interests, build their profile, develop a college list and navigate applications.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a masters degree in higher education, 25 years in college admissions/counseling and five years of owning my own counseling practice.
