We downsized recently and have a rather small outdoor space to work with, but Sarah has done a wonderful job helping me create a space I love, yet will be able to take care of as I enter retirement. I've never grown food before, but now grow an abundance of herbs, strawberries, potatoes, tomatoes, leafy lettuce, and more! It's still a work in progress, and I appreciate all her guidance along the way! For anyone who notices my Rose of Sharon shrubs, Sarah did not recommend these since they are not native to Indiana and are invasive. I just really wanted them, so don't hold that against her! Sarah truly is amazing and so passionate about her work!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Rates for PLOT Indy services are as follows:
FREE - 15 minute discovery call
$75 - Virtual consultation (1 hr)
$115 - On-site consultation (up to 1.5 hrs)
$115 - On-site garden coaching (1.5 hrs)
$150 - Perennial garden maintenance (one 2 hr visit/mo)
$270 - Annual garden maintenance (two 2 hr visits/mo)
All custom designs are billed at a rate of $75/hr. Total design time for each project varies, based on size and complexity. After your initial consultation, I’ll have the information needed to provide a transparent quote that reflects the time necessary for your particular project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All services start with a 1-1.5 hour consultation. During this time, we will:
- explore your vision, goals, and current challenges;
- walk your property to conduct a site reading and understand context;
- discuss specific questions and/or ideas; and
- prioritize actionable recommendations and possible next steps.
You may find this time is all you need to dig in yourself. If your goals call for more support though, we’ll discuss what it’d look like to continue plotting together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Permaculture Designer (Midwest Permaculture) and Master Gardener (Purdue Extension).
