- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I do educate myself on new and popular ideas. I keep my creative juices fresh by getting with other event planners and discussing the business. I attend workshops, shows and call in to a weekly talk show for wedding planners. I gain a lot of knowledge from these avenues.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I love planning events and all the decor involved. I have done it for many years for free just because I love it but eventually friends and family persuaded me to start my business.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire someone whose personality is one you are comfortable with. Many times we want someone because of what they can do. However, if we don't like their personality we will often mis-perceive their actions and words and it will cause tension and problems.
