- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each welding/fabrication job has a different price. I have hourly rates set for Industrial, Commercial, & Residential type jobs. For larger jobs we can also give a quote per job if the customer would like. Each welding process also has its own rate per hr. Mig, Tig & Stick welding. We have a service charge & depending on where the job is located is what determines the price of the service charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the past, on several occasions for larger industrial jobs/projects I met with the business owner or project manager to walk the job over, go over any blueprints, fill out any necessary plant paperwork, exchange insurance info, employee info, prior to starting the job. Residential jobs/projects I will request any pictures of the repair or fabrication the customer is needing/wanting done or in some cases I will have to go to the residence to look the job over before giving an hourly rate or overall quote per job/project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a Certified skilled professional welder/fabricator for 17 years with over 20 years experience as a welder & fabricator.
