FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Like most moving companies we require a 2 hour minimum purchase on labor only services. The customers start time does not begin until the first item is picked up. Once the job has started the time doesn't stop until job is completed. This includes drive time but does not account for lunch/breaks on the bigger jobs. Our full-service package requires a In-Home estimate and the pricing really depends on a variety of things including size of truck needed to the amount of miles needing to be traveled. We have researched our local and national competitors to see what pricing options and cost of services were. We did this in the hopes of providing quality service at competitive pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we will send a quick questionnaire where you will answer questions such as ratio of boxes vs furniture, heaviest item, size of truck etc etc. This will help us to figure a good estimate on time the job will take. Depending on the service we will send a hourly quote along with our estimated time to complete the job or we will schedule a In-Home Estimate where once completed you will be contacted with a quote. Once everything is agreed upon an Invoice will be drawn up to paid at the end of the job. Along with drawing up the invoice we will get your info such as address, locations of load/unload site, and whether any other services are needed. Shortly after booking, your moving coordinator will contact the customer to ask if there are any questions that they have and he will provide you with tips that will help make everything go smoothly with your move. They will also call the day before the job to make sure everything is on schedule. The moving crew will arrive at the site at the scheduled time and introduce themselves. They will ask for a quick walk-through so they can get an idea on how to load/unload the truck to be able to use the maximum space as possible. Once they get their strategy in place they will begin and at that point the time will start. Once all aspects of job is completed the lead of the crew will have the invoice ready to be signed and paid.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the moving industry for 6 years, and have started my own moving business this past year. I have experience in a wide variety of moving services. Including but not limited to, moving whole offices, heavy equipment (i.e. Safes and/or Pianos) as well as moving families across the states. I've also worked along side some logistic companies refurnishing resorts, businesses, student housing, even have had the joy of helping the elderly move. I'm trained to use certain equipment that helps with heavy loads while always keeping safety in mind. All our crews go through both personal and team training when coming on-board with our company. We have our crews retrain twice a year, Once at the beginning of moving season and once during the off-season.
