He was everywhere yet I didn't see him. That is how Kristen put it after seeing her wedding photos. The most important thing is letting you feel relaxed to enjoy your wedding day. It's not dictating that you stand here and hold still for a photo for every moment of the day. When living in Northern Illinois, I had as many as 42 weddings per year and saw many referrals from friends and cousins for their weddings. Moving to Southern Indiana had meant a new start for 2017, and I am looking forward to building new relationships. You will receive your color corrected and print ready images via dropbox and thumb drive within 4 days after the wedding or event. A wedding is a start of a beautiful relationship. The celebration of a bride and groom coming together is one of the most magical days to be a part of.

We knew we wanted something personal and Scott was willing to come out to my grandparents farm. I think we spent close to 2 hours going through the barns, fields, and woods. Being in the stables reminded me of helping PaPa brush his horses when I was a kid. It's like every photo tells a story. Scott was such an awesome choice for our photography. I can't wait to see what he will do with our wedding day photos as well.

I hired Better Image because of his initial, quick DETAILED quote requested through "Thumbtack". I had several very vague responses that gave me little to no information of what the amount included. Everyone's response was "please call". Well, if I wanted to "call" everyone for initial information, I could have done that without Thumbtack... After Better Images detailed response, I did call him and scheduled an interview to meet him and review his work. Scott is very friendly, informative and overall a pleasure to talk to. The actual shoot day is coming up soon and I will post again how it goes and the quality of work and prints. From what I saw of his gallery, I'm super excited! Scott has lots of good ideas and suggestions on how to get that special pose. He also spoke about how he's able to touch up and edit photos and add/or delete background issues. Can't wait! I especially liked the Harry Potter engagement memory video... 9/12/17 We had the photo the shoot and all I can say is WOW! Scott is great! He took around 300 shots just for my son's senior pics! He even laid on the ground to get the best view for some of the poses! I was definitely impressed. He is so nice and really has an eye for the shot. He took many poses in the studio for traditional type poses and then we met at a place for outside poses in an area downtown that had a lot of architectural choices. Took shots at several different places just by walking within a few blocks. And yes he carries his equipment 😉. We got poses with trees, iron fences, steps, a beautiful fountain and even neon lights! We did an outfit change at the studio and downtown changed tops in the car. He posted all on his website and many of the same pose with different lighting features! Some of the poses withe the neon lights he was able to make the sky look as if it were nighttime. Scott really goes the extra mile to give you a good selection. He has a lot of good ideas he will suggest if your not sure about a location for outdoor photos. I would definitely recommend him for any occasion and we are already thinking about scheduling with him for family pics in the fall and I haven't even completed this order.. Lol.

I needed a photo for my business cards. Scott had about 20 colors of backgrounds to choose from. We tried a couple, and my favorite was a color that complemented my tie. He got rid of my moles, brightened my smile, gave me the high resolution image and the whole process took about 30 minutes. Our manager had taken photos for us against the wall in the office, but the ceiling lights had bad shadows under my eyes. I like this one much better. You only have one chance to make a first impression.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a price range that goes from $700 for the wedding ceremony only up to $4200 when you include multiple options. As I recently moved to Southern Indiana, I will be offering some flexibility as a way to build a portfolio of local places.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to keep the situation as light hearted as possible. Having your pictures taken can be a stressful time as it is. Laughter is what can often bring out the most natural smiles. There is the balance between too big of a smile and a fake look where people look their best.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a journalism major and received a first place in Illinois from the Chicago Tribune for collegiate newspaper coverage. You really learn how to see not just what is in front of you, but what is around you when you work from the perspective of a reporter. I received the highest print score for a bridal portrait and second highest print score for wedding album design from APPI. I attend continuing education conferences regularly.
