Chad is an absolutely terrible contractor, so much so, I will now be taking him to court, his idea, not mine. He not only left a mess at ever area he worked in for me to clean-up, it was discovered tjat he has no knowledge of how to do anything correctly and or by local, state, and international codes. SOW was as follows: Fix a slow draining sink (never did it and sink still drains slow), remove and repair cracked stucco and replace rotted trim at the chimney, run a vent pipe for the ejector pump, unseal door and get it into working order, and lastly, sister 8 cracked floor trusses. What he did was unseal the door, but damaged it even more by taking chunks out of the wood with a knife and then just called it good. He didn't remove any of the stucco, just put up non matching grout and didnt even bother to try and get it smooth and didn't replace the trim as discussed with his representative, Doug. Lastly, he only "sistered" four of the eight joists, and you cant even call it complete as he didnt use structural grade lumber, he used No. 3 and non-marked 2x10's, didnt jack the existing joists to level before sistering to remove the sag of the floor, and used non-structural 1 1/2 screws to fasten the boards, and then didnt run the boards to the main beam nor did he replace the blocking that he removed. When confronted about these items, he then stated that he did me a "favor" by foam sealing the vent pipe, even though that is code and standard at every penetration through an exterior wall. as you will also see from the screenshot of the conversation that since im educated in construction because im a Preconstruction Manager for a developer, somehow that makes me "better" than everyone else. what he doesn't understand is I am a Preconstruction Manager for a Developer, which means when it comes to construction, I do know more than the average person because thats my career, is to know these things! See pictures of this guys "handy" work, our conversation and lastly...DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!
