First, have a clear vision of what you want. Writing is subjective, and what appeals to one person may not be another person's cup of tea. Supply examples of work that you would like to emulate, or offer a context for the work being done. Is it for the web? For printed material? Who is your audience? The answers to all of these questions will affect the final work product.
