- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge for an interior appraisal, an exterior appraisal and for a desktop appraisal. These fees depend on the location of the home being appraised and the overall complexity of the assignment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important thing to find out is if a real estate appraisal is actually needed. Sometimes I can save clients money but suggesting that they do not have their home appraised. We can take steps to find out what is the best appraisal product, depending on what the reason is for the appraisal
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been appraising homes for roughly 15 years, with about 3,500 - 4,000 interior appraisals in multiple kinds of areas and with every kind of house you can imagine. I have taken continuing education every two years to maintain an understanding of appraisal practices and changes in the overall guidelines.
