- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $25-30/hr and that is mostly dependant on the frequency of the cleanings, how long it's been since the last deep clean, whether or not pet hair is present.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The cleaning business with whom I was employed for 2 years provided 3 weeks of training (8 different homes) before I was sent to clean a home independantly. I worked by the owner for one week and 2 other long-time employes for the remainder of the time. I have been independantly employed for over a year and a half now.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I worked as a nanny/housekeeper for over 2 years and when my "other children" started full time school I decided to keep cleaning. I simply love cleaning and organizing anything and everything. I love cleanliness and keeping things in order. Cleaning is somewhat therapeutic to me and I love the feeling I get when I can stand back and look at the difference between before and after I cleaned. I take great pride in my work and I love helping others keep their homes clean and in order because I know what a great feeling that is. Everyone loves coming home to a beautifully clean home!
