What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For text of 2000 words or less I charge $0.01 per word. For projects longer than 2000 words, I charge $15 per hour.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to pursue this line of work in college when people kept asking me what I wanted to do with my English degree. Rather than move to a big city, I decided to go the freelance route so I could stay close to my roots and raise my family in the same small town my husband grew up in.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently proofread a manuscript for a prospective novelist. The work was already very good, and I was able to put the polish on it that it needed to be ready to submit for publication.
