- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees are $60/hour lesson, $45/45-minute lesson, $30/half an hour lesson.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If it's a beginner student, I pick a method book according to the student's goal and interest. In our first lesson, I start by finding the best posture and introducing them to the strings, tuning, and basic left and right-hand techniques. I teach students how to read from chord charts and tablatures; I show them simple chords and basic strumming patterns. In addition, I teach students how to read from the staff, if this is something they are interested in learning.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing the guitar since I'm 8 years old. I hold a Master's degree from the UMKC Conservatory. I have a lot of experience collaborating with other instrumentalists and vocalists.
