Alisha was a great help to me. I love to write, but I’m afraid my grammar and spelling are sometimes greatly lacking when I’m in the moment of writing. Even later when I’m proof reading I often miss errors because I know what I want to say, so I don’t spot them. She’s great at spotting those pesky errors, as well as helping me to clarify something I’m trying to say. I would highly recommend her if you’re wanting things don’t right and well! It was well worth the money!!!

I hired Alisha several years ago to help me through the final push of getting my book published. Alisha was helpful in more ways than I could even begin to explain, but I do know that if not for her, I would still be pounding away on my first book and not my second. Working with Alisha is easy. She listens to what I have to say which is highly important. She won't write for you but she does offer valuable input and suggestions. She is direct and to the point which is also extremely helpful. Alisha encouraged me to improve upon my writing skills because she wanted to see me succeed. After seeing my first book in publication I decided not to stop there because not only did Alisha inspire me to fulfill my hopes and dreams, I knew I could depend on her to see another dream come to fruition. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically, I charge by the word. Rates vary based on the type of editing being done (developmental vs. copy editing), if it’s proofreading only, or if I’m doing an editorial assessment. There are also some charges for one-on-one sessions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to discuss the project with the client so I can get a better feel for the message the author is trying to convey. Throughout the editing process I like to keep communication so if I have questions of clarification I can make better suggestions for changes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken several English courses in college, including: Bible as Literature (language analysis) English Composition (learning research and citing), and Creative Writing (fiction and poetry writing). I have also taken a CE class for proofreading skills.
