Hi, my name is Kellen Jackson, better known as Coach KJ! I am a basketball coach, skill enhancement trainer, and youth leadership development coach. My goal is to deliver measurable results, while building the mindset, belief, and confidence of my students. My purpose is to teach players how to persist toward their aspirations both on and off the court while learning core values, competence, and character. As Co-founder and President of the You Hoop Organization, our collective mission is to use sport-specific education to positively impact and empower young lives through character building and leadership principles.

We love working with coach K! My son is 11 soon to be 12 and his goal was to make the A team for next spring. With Coach Ks help he did!! He stays positive, is upbeat, attentive, never yells, and only gives positive encouraging feedback to his students. My son looks forward to every workout and I feel so grateful to have found such an amazing person for my son to learn from!

KJ is a very knowledgeable coach. He is patient, encouraging and positive and as a result, brings out the best in his players. He breaks skills down and models correct form and technique. We have loved working with KJ and will continue to do so. While KJ is passionate about the game of basketball, it is evident he cares about his players’ health and well being. He is a great role model for our son.

KJ is the best coach that my son has ever worked with. Not only does he bring exceptional knowledge of basketball, he coaches to our son’s specific learning style and needs. He has absolutely helped our son build confidence and improve his game. However, beyond the game I truly feel that KJ’s coaching, mentoring and guidance has helped in areas beyond basketball. I cannot say enough great things about him especially after working with other programs I have a tremendous amount of respect and appreciation for his style of coaching and believe he gets the best out of his kids because they are inspired by him to work their hardest.

FIRST LESSON IS FREE! We provide a no cost 30-45 minute skill evaluation for all new students via online or in-person.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Step 1: Get started online. Step 2: Create a YHO profile. Step 3: Schedule a phone consultation. (15 mins) Step 4: Schedule an evaluation. (30-45 mins). Step 5: Follow up Q&A call. Step 6: Purchase a package and begin training.
