I've never a bad experience on thumbtack before these guys but I sure have now. Hired them to mud & tape a 10 x 10 bedroom, very simple job. After they worked for a whole day I come home to find that they've stacked up little pieces of my vinyl corner bead (along with pieces of tape) on inside and outside corners. They're complaining to me that my corners are too tight, whatever the hell that means. They couldn't get the tape to adhere so they put screws through it, not into studs just loosely into the drywall and then piled up mud over them, super dishonest! Would have stayed just long enough for us to paint before bubbling and backing out of the drywall.
I told them to stop working, clean up and leave. I had to scrape 1/4" of mud off and pull out dozens of loose screws to get all the little pieces of corner bead off the walls. Absolutely the sloppiest mud & tape job I've ever seen. Change the name to F-it boys because that's what you do.
