Hello,
I want to take a moment to express how thankful I am to have the opportunity to have Jen as my son’s tutor. She’s had been one of his biggest supporters to help push my son into success. My son has adhd but with Jen he is able to enjoy his one on one time and enjoy learning more. It’s nice to have someone you can build a relationship with that cares to support and motivate your child like they were their own. I really like his tutor and will continue to allow Jen to help build my son’s confidence because she believes in him when the private school refuses to accommodate my son’s IEP.

Jen is coaching my three kids on Reading and Writing for many years and she is just amazing. She goes with the flow of kids' understanding level and coaches them based on their capability. Always come up with relevant stories so kids can understand why they need to do few things.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $30 per 55-minute session. Currently I am having a summer special - lessons will be only $25 per session.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I like to have a "get to know you" chat by phone or email to find out exactly what type of tutoring services the client needs. We can then schedule a FREE 15-20 minute trial session to ensure that I am a good fit as a tutor for the client and that he/she is comfortable with the online classroom. During this free trial, I'll show the student how to use the virtual tools and give a brief sample lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English with a minor in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University and a Master's Degree in Education from Concordia University. My graduate degree specializes in curriculum, instruction, and reading intervention.
I have also taken numerous teaching-related workshops on topics such as growth mindset, differentiation, and using technology in the classroom.
