As a current Thumbtack professional I thought it would be a great idea to hire another Thumbtack professional. Apparently I made the wrong choice when hiring Mark. I paid Mark before the job was finished to come back with my stairs half finished. He didn't securely nail in the carpet so now it's all coming a part. I called and asked Mark to come finish the job, which he agreed to come today (Jan 29th) at 9am. I get a text from Mark dating "something came up", and that he needs toreschedule. I told Mark I planned my work schedule around him being here at 9am and I get no reply. So NOT HIRE this guy, as he's COMPLETELY unprofessional, and his work is less than satisfactory.
