If you are from KC or just love good BBQ, you have to check out Fire Canyon. I grew up in the KC metro, but have lived in the Denver area since 2006. This whole time, I've been searching for a BBQ place that compares to what I enjoyed growing up, but never found a place that measured up. Until tonight! We had the sausage, brisket, cheesy corn, baked beans, and apple coleslaw. Everything was delicious, but my favorite was the brisket... it was juicy without being greasy and the smokey flavor was great with or without bbq sauce.Oct 7, 2018Review from Facebook

Hello, I want everyone to know that this is by far the best BBQ around. I have treated my family to others and I get to campfirey also dry and sauce is to spicey so on. Not this time everything was SUPER DELICIOUS VERY MOIST AND JUICY. We will be back for seconds and thirds absolutely. I met the man in Charge and have to give him and the Team top honors. They are the greatest and worth going were they are.Jul 4, 2018Review from Facebook
Really great food! Some of the best smoked sausage and brisket Ive had anywhere. Great mix of seasoning in the sausage and the brisket just melts in your mouth. The sides are to die for, too I could make a meal of them alone. Awesome coleslaw (sweet and tangy), killer beans, rich creamy corn. Yum yum yum. Cant wait until next time!Jul 2, 2018Review from Facebook

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Our prices generally vary by the type of meat and its availability (influenced by current market prices), so nothing is really fixed, but right now most bulk meat is between $14 to $19/lb. Ribs are between $21 to $26 per rack depending on the type. The average catering event is usually $10-18/person depending on what items are selected. The average food item is $5-8 with an average meal around $10-17 (tax included).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We will gladly vary our process with new customers to meet their individual needs. Some customers know what they want and just order, while others like to sample first to determine what they want to spend their hard earned money on. We'll also work with dietary requests like gluten free and other needs to accommodate our customers as much as possible.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've worked in corporate america for over 30 years, so I've learned a thing or two about business and working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I am self-trained at the cooking/smoking side of things though, originally hosting large parties, sometimes every weekend for over 20 years. When we moved to Colorado from Kansas City, I've had to fill the gap for great barbeque by teaching myself the fine art of seasoning food with fire and smoke. This was paired with becoming a KCBS (Kansas City Barbeque Society) judge and traveling the competition circuit to learn what the highest level of BBQ should taste like. Over time, I've mastered the techniques necessary to produce extremely high quality barbeque. We started catering in 2013 and have had events with up to 500 people as far as 2 hours away. In 2017 we started our food truck and have served thousands of people at breweries, festivals, corporate lunches and private events.
