- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I like helping people. Technical writing and editing may seem like a strange way to do thatits not exactly saving lives. But think back a moment about when you last tried to assemble shelving, install a piece of equipment or complete a procedure from instructions. How many times were you left scratching your head, wondering whether the writers had missed a few details? Technical writers and editors may not change the world, but they can certainly make living in it a lot easier.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Business and technical writing and editing. I write anything from step-by-step processes to marketing collateral, explaining products and services in a clear, easy-to-understand manner. When editing, my goal is to provide clarity, correcting grammar, punctuation and spelling as necessary, but leaving the writer's voice and intended meaning intact.
