We found mold in an unfinished room of our basement, and were very concerned that it might affect the health of our 2 toddlers. Paul, the owner, was able to come to my home quickly for a free estimate, which initially was very important to us. He was friendly, professional, personable, and honest. He explained that we could safely clean it ourselves, and later emailed the names of the best products to use. We had another estimate for the mold removal, and aside from Precision Dry being the most cost effective, Paul’s approach was a big reason we decided to go with him. The other company used scare tactics to get their business, where Paul was very calm and reassuring about everything, and even sent me articles to back up the safety concerns that I had. The other company also told me that he had to demo part of the house, and many other things, that once I told him that Paul had already come out, the other (very reputable) company changed their mind and said that demo and a few other things on his list would not be necessary. I’m so glad Paul came out first, otherwise I would have been terrified for the safety of my family, and would have spent thousands more dollars. The final estimates (once the other company knew I had someone else come out) were a few hundred dollars difference for the same work. I am so appreciative to Paul for the hundreds(possibly thousands) of dollars that he saved us, but more importantly just for being honest from the beginning. I’m so happy that I found Thumbtack for the reviews of Precision Dry, I agree with all of them.
