FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required to take and pass courses every year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Wanted to be a psychiatrist since I was a little kid (my mother was devoted to Freudian psychoanalysis). Went to med school for two years to become psychiatrist but did not like the math and memorization (and it was in Belgium in French). I studied sociology in grad school, then joined European psychodrama theater company in Europe for 2 years, studied under psychotherapist in NYC (old non-licensed system) for 2 years, then went to grad school to get license training. I always was a natural at this.
