Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: As a solo practitioner I have the ability to work closely with each and every client. My staff consists of a secretary and paralegal who can assist the client with simple questions and scheduling court dates and meetings. Word of mouth referrals are most common in my practice and lead to the vast majority of clients. I have been practicing law for 16+ years in my own law firm. Having that experience allows me to know not only the law but most of the fellow practitioners, prosecutors and judges. The changes in the law are relatively easy to keep up with due to the fact that I already have a good base in what is required.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask former clients and others in the community. If you interview more than one attorney, ask what they think of the other. Good attorneys have good reputations and also rarely speak ill of others. Experience matters and, if possible, seek an attorney who practices regularly in the county where your case will be heard.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

While the general perception is that many lawyers are not social, the reality is that there are as many different kinds of lawyers and personalties as any other profession. Some golf, some swim, some do triathalons, some like to read books, travel and scuba dive. I like to travel and go to country music concerts. I love the outdoors which is why I chose to be a criminal defense lawyer. As a criminal defense attorney I can walk to and from court and don't get locked behind a desk all day. The opportunity also presents itself to golf, run and spend time outside. I am proud to be a lawyer, however I do not let it define my existence.
