Tom is a very nice and knowledgeable about pianotuning. He has done it for 50 years. The church baby grand was badly out of tune. Tom worked for over 2 hours and got it to a 432 range and is coming back on November 1st to complete the job. He also gave advice on proper care of the piano. I highly recommend Tom White for any of your piano needs.

Very efficient. He explained what he did and told me that I needed it tuned at least once a year to keep in in tune. I was very pleased with his work and will use him again and refer him to friends that are in need of a piano tuner.

Tom did a great job of initial tuning and evaluation of what needed repair on our "rescued" piano. Then he gave us several options on further repairs and a second tuning. We are glad to have found him and will be doing more business with him as needed.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A basic tuning is $125.00.Estimates are at no charge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I contact the customer or have them call me to get as much information as I can to prepare for a job. If it calls for an estimate I like pictures of the item. This way I can give them a more accurate estimate. If it is a tuning job, I will set a time and get an address.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as a piano technician assistant for 2 years before stating my own business. I then opened a music retail business for 14 years. I tuned and rebuilt pianos at concerts, colleges, churches, and homes. I have been doing this for about 45 years now.
