FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Like many businesses, I have to factor in my yearly overhead costs, along with the cost of maintaining, repairing and upgrading my own equipment and software, advertising, and the amount of days per year I work, to come up with the final pricing structure. My prices reflect these factors along with the amount of time is required for pre-shoot planning, the shoot itself, and post-processing activities. Many people do not actually realize how much effort goes into maintaining a photography business.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
DEFINITELY. If you don't you get left behind. I am always watching other professional photographers, and staying in touch with what is going on in the photography world, as well as utilizing photography and digital retouching education institutions whose business is to keep photographers up to date.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I fell in love with photography at a young age. It was much different than it is today, far more difficult to get ahold of great images than it is in the digital world.
