As a graphic designer, it is my responsibility to make a design both functional and appealing. When designing posters, flyers, logos, magazine ads and all else that comes my way, I approach each project with the phrase, "Less is more," because good design correlates with minimal schemes. This is how I focus on the intentional communication of a piece without making it too busy or unrelated. When working with clients, I take every little detail into consideration and attempt to get inside their minds. I go through the steps of who, what, when, where and why, then immediately start visiting similar projects. I do this to get my mind focused on likelihoods and possibly gain inspiration. From there, I endeavor to create a visual language that meets my clients' intentions; sometimes it is the only way to get a point or theme across. I have learned that if you focus on the client, all else will follow. Although I may craft my initial idea and it will be spot on with the clients' description, I always prepare multiple variations of the design to present to my clients. Receiving feedback is key in finalizing a design.
