FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some jobs are priced different than our standard pricing. If you have any jobs at once I give discounts. If you have a project that requires 75 feet of wire I only charge for 75 feet. Most other companies charge for entire roll. Basically you pay what you are using not what it cost me to buy the roll of wire you don't use. We give free estimates and estimates for jobs are either given on site or by end of day. If it's a large job it may take several jobs to get an estimate. I do ask that you and I sign a contract on large jobs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
once a phone call is placed we set a time to meet. The customer states what she or he wants or imagines and I show the possibilities to meet that goal. At that time I try to give the price but depending on the job It may take a day or so to get an accurate price. If I cannot find the fixture or object I will call and see how you want to go further. On a job such as new construction or fire job a "progress report" will be given weekly to keep you informed or daily however you prefer. I have done numerous fire damaged homes and new construction.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Once a year I am mandated to take six hours of continuing education. On large jobs I always look through our code book and research online new items to save and cut cost for the homeowner or project manager or general contractor. Led is expensive but plus side is guaranteed for ten years cost less during operation. Depends on bulb and fixtures it depends on price. There are several options that we can discuss and even can show the energy savings per year total on all bulbs.
